There are 2 country parks, which lie within 2 miles of the town, Muiravonside Country Park and Beecraigs Country Park. You can take a leisurely stroll round the parks, visit the deer and wildlife or ride one of the many marked cycle routes. Linlithgow Loch offers canoeing while a more leisurely time on the water can be found on the Union Canal, Linlithgow Canal Society offer trips along the canal. The Canal Society also offers trips to visit the Unique Falkirk Wheel. Or if water´s not your thing, take a gentle train ride on the Boness Steam train and visit Birkhill Fireclay mines.
