Edinburgh
Edinburgh is known as the “Athens of the North” and a vast arena of attractions awaits you. Edinburgh is a city for all seasons. It has the Book Festival, The Fringe and the Military Tattoo, in the summer and the Hogmanay, New Years celebrations in the winter. Edinburgh Castle, an all year round attraction, sits high on its rocky perch and looks down on the cobbled streets of the Grass Market and the Royal Mile. Follow the Royal Mile down to Holyrood Palace, The New Scottish Parliament and Dynamic Earth. There are many museums and art galleries to explore and many, many cafes, pubs and bistros to sit and rest your weary feet. Whatever time of year you visit you will be impressed by Edinburgh’s beauty and wide range of things to see and do.

Glasgow
Glasgow is Scotland’s largest city. It is famous for its architecture, museums, art galleries and shopping. Its most famous architect is Charles Rennie Macintosh and there are many examples of his work to see in the city. Glasgow was given the status of UK City of Architecture and Design in 1999. The most well known exhibition in Glasgow is the Burrell Collection. This is a large collection so leave plenty of time if you want to see it properly. Shopping in the centre of Glasgow is recognised as second only to London. So if you are in need of a little retail therapy, Glasgow’s the place to be! The old motto of Glasgow was “Glasgow’s miles better”, well there are miles and miles of attractions to see and do in this large cosmopolitan city.
